Maurice Spiccia

MAURICE SPICCIA is originally from Rome, Italy where, in his early teens, he was a member of the world famous Sistine Chapel Choir, was trained in the classical music tradition and toured the European Continent extensively.
In this country, after a period of adjustment and a brief interlude with the visual and graphic arts, he returned to his first love: Music.
At first he accompanied and directed shows for European performers in the Chicago area, later he formed variety groups for touring the United States.
He has worked as a clinician at several NAMM shows with such players as Art Van Damme, Howard Roberts, Larry Londin, Bruce Colin, Ed Shaunessy, etc.

He has also produced musical works for other artists in his fully computerized home studio and among these production his own easy listening "First Impressions" CD has received extensive air play in this country, Europe and the Far East..
Another productions is part of a fantastic 60mm. documentary film "Milwaukee, City On The Move" for that city's I-MAX theatre.

Maurice is the leader of PHASE4 and handles piano/keyboard duties and all the additional computerized musical productions used by the band, such
as the creation of MUSIC COMPUTER SEQUENCES (an idea he started when the appropiate software was in its infancy), a very hi-tech orchestrating system that adds the required instruments to the live band and makes it sound like a complete orchestra even in its basic configuration.
He is also responsible for the band's logistical week-to-week operations thru the mantainance of this website and client contact and follow through.
Maurice also runs MUSICWORKS LTD., the office that handles the band PHASE4, ANGEL SPICCIA jazz ensembles, and a music recording production company called "INTERSTATE 90".
